Crafts...

Since I got me some stuff lately, I will post some creations... most of them were made with the new stuff I bought.

ATC made with a cool stamp I bought in Den Bosch and my rainbow inkpad.

Card made with my new rainbow inkpad. Background is made with alcoholinks.

Book made with envelopes, similar to the one I made in Den Bosch, had to try it out myself at home once more...

Birthdaycard for someone of my church. Similar to grunchystyle. I just love this style.

Birthdaycard, grungy style, made for a German chatfriend.

This ATC was made for a swap with the theme: traveling. Used some stuff I bought in Heesch for it.

Heesch

Last wednesday we did have a day off in Belgium. The nice part for me was that the Dutch people of the Netherlands didn't get off. (sorry guys.... lol). No I just enjoyed the fact that I could go to the biggest scrapbookshop in the Netherlands. I had heard so much over it, and now I finaly could see it myself. It was quite a while driving... a big 2 hours.

Riley, a good friend of mine joined me. We did meet in Den Bosch and had something to eat. After that we went to Heesch. There was more to see then the scrapbookstore alone. First we visited a museum. It was a miniature musuem of little dollhouses, pretty neat. You could also go to the shop where they sold those kind of things, but boy... these items were expensive. Next to it was a shop with all things for making your own juwelery, but since I'm not into that, it didn't take me much time to continue my way to the scrapbookstore. There I did spend some more time... I didn't really know where to begin 1st.... All the things I saw were scrapbookthings... really cool. Too bad, or maybe luckily (or I'd be broke) that this shop is so far away.
When I was done with shopping I met a girl of the yahoogroup "De Scrappertjes" on the parkingplace. You have to drive so far to meet someone... lol.... kinda funny.
Riley and I decided to continue our way to Breda. There we went eating in an Argentinian restaurant. I have never eaten in such a restaurant before. After souper I had to drive back, cause it still took me a while to get home.

Fun in "de scrapbookwinkel".

De knotsgekke kaartendagen

Friday I went to a fair. It's kinda hard to translate the name of the fair, but it kinda sounds like "the crazy carddays". I had an appointment with Katrien, a girl from one of the yahoogroups I'm a member of. I hardly knew her, so it was an extra adventure.
We met in Wommelgem, and from there we drove togheter to 's Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands. I was glad she drove, cause it took me already a bit more then an hour to get to Wommelgem.

It was nice to meet her, and when we were talking in the car, I found out that she's studying for occupational therapy, that was a nice surprise ... lol, what else did we have in common? lol.

The fair was big, and I loved it. Finaly a fair for just paperstuff. Mostly when you go to fairs here, you have all kind of hobbies they promote, like making jewelery, etc.... but I'm only into crafting with paper. I just loved it.

At studio Kuuks we were ablo to trade our ATC's. I also had brought mine to trade. I didn't trade all of mine, I need to admit that I'm kinda picky... I also trade some with Katrien.

It was really surprising to me when I looked in one of the albums that were laying on the table. There you could see all kind of ATC's but they were not for trading. The thing that was cool was that I found one back in those albums that I had made.

The shopping part was the hardest part. There's so much I wanted to buy, but I couldn't buy all what I wanted. Well, one day maybe, when I'll marry a rich man... (kidding).

After the shopping we made a little album with enveloppes, it was for a project. The books we made will be given to kids that are for a long time in the hospital. So they can add familypictures, etc.. in the little album, I thought this was a neat idea. The project is called: scrap a little sunshine (http://scrapalittlesunshine.blogspot.com/). I really liked this idea, since those kids will have a nice little book, and we meanwhile learned a new technique.

Well, guys, I will finish for today, my hands just want to do some more stamping;)

Katrien and me having our lunchbreak... (there were so many people at the place we had to lunch that we even didn't have a table to sit on)

Showing the books Katrien and I had made for the project: scrap a little sunshine. (picture taken by Katrien)

The goodies I bought... mainly stamps... of course, ... I'm addicted I guess....

left-overs...

I sometimes print pictures out, but don't use them right away. I had some little ones of myself that were laying on my desk and I had an idea... why not making some ATC's with my picture on it? Here is the result 2 ATC's, they look a bit similar. Anyone wants to trade?

Ben and Nadine visiting

I was surprised when Nadine called me last sunday. She and Ben were in our neighbourtown, and I invited them to come over. It was nice to hear their stories about China. They went there on their honneymoon.

happy birthday to Rien

Rien celebrated his 25th birthday on July 12. We went eating out with some friends. The environment was nice as the restaurant was located near a castle. The food tasted good as well.

ATC's

I'm a member of several creative groups. One is an ATC group. We got a drawing, and we needed to make a creative ATC with the drawing. I did enter the right one for the contest. The winning ATC will be posted for one month on the homepage of the group and the maker recieves a nice little present. Worth to participate with the contest.

picturefreak

As most of you know... I take a lot of pictures. There are not many weeks in a year where I leave my camera untouched. Lately I got me 2 new ones. My minolta Z1 got damaged in Switserland. It still can take pictures, but due to a fall the lid where the batteries fit, doesn't close good anymore with a reslut that I should tape it all the time... Since I take so many pictures, that would not be handy at all. So I wanted to buy me a good new one. I thought to do this in september when I would go to the USA. Meanwhile I bought me a little one at the Aldi-store. But what happened next. Our plans changed, we won't be going to the USA anymore this year. So, as a result I bought me a better one over here this month. Now I have a traveler DC-8600 (the aldi one) and a Canon Power Shot S3 15.

I appreciate the little one better than I thought I would. It's just easy, because now I almost always have it with me. And it takes super macro-pictures. So for in daily normal situations my little one is sufficient, for shoots and special occasions I have my bigger one.

Judge yourself what concerns the macro-pictures, don't you think they look great?

Fondue

Last sunday Jeffrey, Rien, Huguette and me went eating fondue. It was quite a time ago that we went together to a restaurant. Huguette's mother took care of little Eliana. The fondue tasted very well... we had a nice evening, and laughed quite a bit!

New Lay-out

Hello guys,

I want to share a new lay-out I made. It's a scraplift from Elodie, also known as Iggydodie in the scrapbookworld. I got inspired by a few girls of the yahoogroup: "de scrappertjes" they went to an event, called: Eurocrop. I saw several lay-outs of them scraplifted from her. So I wanted to try it as well... It took me a lot of work, but I'm pretty satisfied with the result, what about you? What do you think of it?
