Marco Borsato + a day in Antwerp

Yesterday we enjoyed a concert from Marco Borsato (we = Griet, Huguette, Lene and me). Rien had other plans the last moment so he missed the concert. After the concert Huguette had booked a hotel for Rien, her and me. No late driving home this time, but a relaxed night close by in the heart of Anwerp. The purpose: a shopping day on wednesday. Huguette came home with clothes... and I???? Guess what I bought. Stamps ;) I couldn't resist. Poor Rien didn't buy anything, but he could carry the bags hahaha.

Today I got spoiled. Matt, an American friend of mine sended me some stamps. He knows I love stamping and I got 3 very nice stamps!

little update...

I haven't been quite active here... life can be so busy at times, that it is hard to keep up with things. Well, there were two precious children that had their birthday meanwhile. Eliana got two, and Timothy got 3 years old. I did make a special collage from Timothy... yeps, he likes his duplo's quite a lot.

Even if the pit is so deep....

Even if the pit is so deep, the love of Jesus Christ is deeper. That's a quote that I read in a book of Corrie Ten Boom that I bought lately and the quote really touched me. For that reason I worked it out in a creative way. Here you see the 2 pictures I used (pictures I took myself) and the final result.

Creative... that's what we are!

Rianne came over for the weekend. And today I learned her some new stampingtechniques... we had a lot of fun. Guess were our trip ended... yeps, the local craftstore indeed.

A little wink of God...

Winks of God... that's how Rianne, my Dutch friend describes those situations. Those little situations where you feel... wow... this just ain't co-incidence, this is God showing He cares... this is neat, know what I mean?
In my previous post, I told you about a link I got from Rianne which I was crazy about. I thought she had send me the song I was humming there all the time on sunday, but apparently the song I was humming there was another one.
Since I liked the song that she sended me very much as well, I wrote down the title and went to the Christian bookstore to look after that song. I looked through so many cd's looking at all the titles, but couldn't find that particular one. Well, I didn't wanne go home with empty hands and just brought a cd anyways. It was a double cd, and I started with listening to cd 2 in my car. The next day however I did put cd 1 in my player... and guess what..... yeps, the 1st song that was playing was the actual song that I was looking for. I didn't know that at all when I bought it since I didn't know any title, I looked trough so many cd's, just grabed one, and then it just happens to be that one that has that particular song on it... isn't that neat?

Nice song!

Last week-end I did join the youth for all event in the Netherlands. It was very uplifting. I also heard a nice song which I'm crazy about. I guess the text that was used there was a little different, but Rianne sended me the youtube link with the melody and I just love it!

digital scrapbooking.

I discovered digital scrapbooking... a nice thing to do. Enjoy some of my lay-outs! The 1st one is made with a freebee kit from Kim Desmet. She taught us exactly how to make this one. And that's my result ... little Eliana at the Beach. The 2nd one is made with a freebee kit from Monica Guerra Leiria: waiting to happen. Rianne send me a picture yesterday, and I just wanted to spoil her with a lay-out. She seemed happy about it.

fun at the beach

Last Sunday Rien, Huguette, Eliana, Griet and me went to the beach. We had a nice lunch, and then we had fun on the beach.

In the evening I went to Ieper, Tony Anthony, the author of the book: Taming the tiger, gave his witness. It was really nice to hear.

The last weekend of November Rianne spend the weekend with us. We had fun as usual, and on Sunday we had our hands full with creative stuff. We made several cards, and guess what we used for that? Yeps, right... stamps and ink.
